Privacy

Short version: there are no accounts, we don't ask who you are, and the only information we ever receive is what you deliberately type into the feedback form.

What we don't collect

Your location on the "near me" page

The near me tool asks your browser for your location only after you tap the button, and only your browser ever sees it. The distance calculation runs entirely on your device against a list of facility coordinates your browser downloads. Your coordinates are never sent to us, never stored, and never transmitted anywhere. Decline the permission and the page still works — you just browse by state instead.

The feedback form

When you submit feedback we receive what you typed, plus the page you were on, its title, your browser's user agent string and your IP address — the last two arriving automatically with any web request. If you choose to include an email address, we receive that too; it's optional and used only to reply.

Submissions are stored privately and used solely to fix and improve the site. They are not sold, published or used for marketing. Please don't include sensitive details — we don't need your DoD ID, Social Security number, sponsor details or anything about your medical care to fix a page, and we'd rather not hold them.

Analytics

We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that report aggregate traffic — how many people viewed a page, roughly where in the world from, which site linked here. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and cannot identify you or follow you to other sites. This is why you aren't being asked to dismiss a consent banner.

Advertising

We intend to carry advertising to fund hosting and the work of keeping facts current. When ads go live, the ad provider may set its own cookies or identifiers under its own privacy policy, and we will update this page to name the provider and link that policy before any ad runs. Advertising never influences what we publish — see our editorial policy.

Hosting and logs

The site is served as static files from Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse. We don't maintain our own server logs beyond that.

Links to other sites

We link heavily to tricare.mil, to regional contractors and to official directories, because those are where accurate answers live. Once you follow a link you're on their site under their privacy policy, not ours. That includes any site you reach through a provider directory.

Children

This site is written for adults managing a family's benefits and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — most likely when advertising goes live — we'll update this page and the date below rather than change it quietly.
